▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 With spreading branches; 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 53 (They shall) recline on couches lined with brocade, and the fruits of the Gardens will be near at hand. 54 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Dark-green. 64 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 65 In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance: 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Maidens (of Paradise, Houris) in cloistered cool pavilions. 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Man has not touched them before them nor jinni. 74 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
