The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
