In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
