The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 9
