The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
