The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
