۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Are we then not to die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
