Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 They used to say before: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
