And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
