Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
