The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
