He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 to a rich man, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 lofty and pure, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 then the way eased for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
