Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the close of night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
