Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
