The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
