Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 till you reached the grave. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 You will be shown hell 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
