28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 ‘And that we sometimes used to sit in some places in the sky, to listen; so whoever now listens finds a fiery comet waiting for him.’ 9 ‘And we do not know whether harm is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends goodness for them.’ 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight. 12 Hence, as soon as we heard this [call to His] guidance, we came to believe in it: and he who believes in his Sustainer need never have fear of loss or injustice. 13 Some of us are Muslims and some of us have deviated from the Truth. Whoever has embraced Islam has followed the right guidance. 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allah, and went on the Right Way (i.e. Islam) We should surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance. 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 And the prostrations are for Allah; wherefore call not along with Allah anyone. 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
