'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And share my task, 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 And much remember Thee. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
