The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who determined and guided, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
