Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 They say: 'Our hearts are veiled from that to which you call us, and in our ears there is heaviness. And between us and you is a veil. So work (as you will) and we are working' 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
