And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
