Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 What is the Inevitable Hour? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) 4 So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. 5 and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous, 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound a single blast. 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 Then, on that day will the Event befall. 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden. 18 Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 Then as to him who shall be vouchsafed his book in his left hand, he shall say: Oh! would that I had not been vouchsafed my book. 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 That is why he has no friend today, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
