Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
