Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
