Al-Najm 3 of 3
Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
