Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
