The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The Calamity! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance 8 shall plunge in the womb of the Pit. 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
