The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the breath of morning 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
