Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
