The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
