Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
