The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
