Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water. 45 “Enter them with peace, in safety.” 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 No fatigue will touch them nor will they be expelled therefrom." 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I alone am the Forgiving, the Merciful One, 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 [Abraham] exclaimed: "And who - other than those who have utterly lost their way - could ever abandon the hope of his Sustainer's grace?" 56 [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60
