Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say, 'He is a poet for whom we await Fate's uncertainty'? 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity). 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
