۞ Proclaim, “I advise you just one thing; that stand up for Allah's sake, in twos and ones, and then think”; there is not a trace of insanity in this companion of yours; he is not but a Herald of Warning for you, before the advent of a severe punishment! 46 Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your interest: my reward is only due from Allah: And He is witness to all things." 47 Proclaim, “Indeed my Lord sends down the truth; the All Knowing of all the hidden.” 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, 51 And they will say, “We accept faith in it”; and how can they attain it from so far away? (After they have crossed the limit of life allotted to them.) 52 seeing that aforetime they had been bent on denying the truth, and had been wont to cast scorn, from far away, on something that was beyond the reach of human perception! 53 A gulf will exist between them and their desires on the Day of Judgment like the similar people who lived before. They, too, had lived in doubt and uncertainty (about the life hereafter). 54
