Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
