The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
