And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night.
