3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
