The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
