Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 like the boiling of burning despair. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 This is what you doubted?" 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 as an act of grace. That will be the supreme triumph. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59
