Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Move towards what you used to deny!" 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be you and the earlier generations. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
