Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the white forenoon 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
