Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
