The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and believes in the finest, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And denied the best matter, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
