Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
