The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the racers, panting, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
