Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
