Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
