Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
